3. AI Processing
When you upload photos for condition report generation, your images are sent to the Anthropic Claude API for AI analysis. Anthropic processes these images to generate condition descriptions using museum-standard terminology. Key points about AI processing:
- Photos are transmitted securely over encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS)
- Anthropic does not use your images to train their AI models (per their commercial API terms)
- AI-generated reports are returned to us and associated with your session

4. Browser Fingerprinting
We use browser fingerprinting instead of traditional cookies to identify your device. A fingerprint is a hash generated from your browser's characteristics (such as screen size, installed fonts, and browser version). This approach:
- Allows you to use the service without creating an account or logging in
- Associates your uploaded items and reports with your device
- Does not track you across other websites
- Cannot be used to determine your personal identity
We do not use third-party tracking cookies. We do not participate in ad networks or cross-site tracking.
5. Payment Processing

6. Email Communications
Transactional emails (payment confirmations, account notifications) are sent through Resend. We only send emails that are necessary for the operation of the service. 7. Data Retention and Deletion
- Uploaded photos — Temporarily stored for processing and automatically deleted within 24 hours of upload
- Generated reports — Stored for the duration of your session or account. You can delete your data at any time.
- Payment records — Retained as required by tax and financial regulations (typically 7 years)
- Browser fingerprints — Associated session data can be cleared by contacting us
You can request deletion of all your data by emailing joseph@dataweaveai.com. We will process deletion requests within 30 days.
8. No Account Required
ArtLog AI does not require you to create an account to use the service. You can upload photos and generate reports using only your browser fingerprint. If you choose to provide an email address (for purchases or account creation), that information is stored securely and used only as described in this policy.
9. Data Security
We use industry-standard security measures to protect your data, including:
- TLS/HTTPS encryption for all data in transit
- Encrypted database storage for data at rest
- Access controls limiting who can view stored data
- Automatic 24-hour deletion of uploaded image files
10. Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services that may process your data:
- Anthropic (Claude API) — AI image analysis and report generation
- Stripe — Payment processing
- Resend — Transactional email delivery
- Railway — Application hosting and infrastructure
- Google Ads — Conversion tracking (anonymized)
11. Children's Privacy
ArtLog AI is not directed at children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
12. International Users
ArtLog AI is operated from the United States. If you access the service from outside the US, your data may be transferred to and processed in the United States. By using the service, you consent to this transfer.
